Splitting Very Small Pills

"Thank you for your inquiry. I could not find Ativan SL on www.drugs.com, but the "Small Pill Cutter" should work for a small round pill.

If you could mail me 3 pills, I can determine in a few minutes if the Small Pill Cutter will do the job, and can then email you pictures of the results and mail the cut pills back if you wish.

“I cut the pills today and took pictures. It is a delicate tablet, but cut very well. Pictures follow.

Ativan SL 2.5mg tablet in Small Pill Cutter

Close the cutting arm until it is resting on the tablet. Make adjustments if necessary to insure that the tablet is centered. (You will have to look in from both sides because the pill is so small that it is not visible looking straight down.)


Push down on the cutting arm with your thumb to split the pill.
