To split the 1000mg tablet in half, turn the tablet on its side and place in the large pill bed.

Lower the cutting arm until it is in contact with the tablet. Make adjustments with your thumb and forefinger if needed to center the tablet.

Push down on the cutting arm with your thumb until you hear a "snap" or feel the tablet split.
