Cialis Pill Splitter

Cialis has an unusual price structure. According to the discounted prices on www.drugstore.com:

20 mg    $ 16.53 per tablet

10 mg    $ 16.53 per tablet

 5 mg      $ 4.33 per tablet

2.5 mg     $ 3.94 per tablet

A little basic math would indicate that splitting the 20 mg tablet in half will save $8.25 per tablet.

Splitting the 10 mg tablet in half will cost about $4 more than if you just buy the 5 mg tablet.

Quartering the 20 mg tablet or the 10 mg tablet is a break-even deal.

In summary, splitting the 20 mg tablet in half is a good deal and every other option does not save any money.

On the other hand, I received a recent email explaining a good reason for quartering the 20 mg Cialis tablet:

"Ken,

The benefit for me is that my insurance covers only 6 pills per month of Cialis, no matter the dosage and the price for me is the same for all of the dosages as well."

The new Small Pill Cutter easily splits the Cialis tablet in half, but the half tablet had a tendency to crumble when I tried to quarter it. However, once the tablet was cut in half, it was easy to quarter it with a single edge razor blade. (The single edge razor blade gave inconsistent results when I tried to cut the whole pill in half.)

To cut the 20 mg Cialis tablet in half, place the Cutter on a table or counter, and position the tablet in the large pill bed as shown in the photo above. Lower the cutting arm until it is resting on the tablet.
